Update 11/25 - Dungeon UI, Currency, Shop


It's been a busy last few days working on Miracle Girl Chiyoko!  First, I've reworked the dungeon UI to only show up when accessing the menu.  Originally I wanted it to have kind of the "Old PC-98 Game" vibe by having the UI up all the time, but it didn't look great.  Also, the dungeon menu is in the game now.  The player can use it to view character status, change which party member will take front position at the start of battle, and save the game during the dungeon.

Speaking of dungeons, there is a new currency resource in the game.  Defeated enemies will drop Magia, which is a sort of extradimensional residue they leave behind.  Magia can be used to buy items and equipment.  For now, only simple items are being added such as restorative items and simple jewelry, but I plan to expand this system further with items that can help Chiyoko out in other ways (more EXP gain from training, more grade gain for studying, etc)

Aside from all these changes, there is also going to be new music for dungeon exploration and for the Shop!

The post-game-jam version of Miracle Girl Chiyoko is coming down the home stretch!  I'm looking forward to getting feedback, and seeing where to go from here regarding this project.  Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
