I'm happy to announce that the demo for Miracle Girl Chiyoko, an RPG Maker MZ project, has been released!

This game is my entry for the Magical Girl Game Jam #10.  I wanted to make a Magical Girl story, with light RPG and simulation elements.  More than anything, I wanted to capture the elements of a classic Magical Girl anime, specifically the conflicting balance between the girls' lives as students and their lives as heroines.  This was my most ambitious project ever attempted and I am happy with the result, even though it didn't go as far into the story as I would have liked, and many features had to be cut due to the game jam's time limit and my own burnout.  What I would do for another set of arms and a second brain...

The eventing and scripting is a bit messy but functional, though I wouldn't be surprised if a few bugs snuck through.  I'm still rebalancing the math and mechanics and if I proceed to a full version many of them may end up a bit different.  This demo also doesn't progress far enough to reach any of the school test days, so in playing it you can safely ignore studying (In the full game, you would need to focus on it at least a little bit or Chiyoko would have problems later...)

Unfortunately, the Browser version had to be scrapped due to that version of the game being incompatible with many important scripts necessary to run the game properly.  Apologies to anyone who attempted to play the browser version.
