Progress 6/4


I'm a little late with this Devlog!  I took a detour from working on this game for a week to finish up my entry for the Worst Visual Novel Ever Game Jam!  It was a lot of fun making my own terrible visual novel, and playing the others as well.

Since that's now over, I've returned to work on Sword  of  Saints!  A majority of my work over the last few days has been finishing  up the game's enemy sprites, and fixing up a few that I wasn't happy with.  I'm also working on replacing the battle backgrounds, as the old ones were holdovers from the RPG  Maker 95 version of the game, and I wasn't happy with most of them.  They are still a work in progress; I'll need to adjust the colors so the enemy sprites don't blend in too much, and I want to add more details to them as well, but I'm happy with them so far.

I plan to spend most of this week and next week on boss sprites and overworld enemies.  As my previous RM95 version of the game had no overworld enemies, they have to be designed from scratch.  So I'll be thinking up some new ideas of hostile fauna (and possibly flora) to throw at the heroine as she traverses the world map!
